Pay Your Bill

The City of Monticello offers a variety of convenient payment options for our residents. You may sign up for E-Bill by clicking the green "Pay Your Bill Now" button on the right and bottom of this page.

Online Bill Payment

If paying your Water Utility Bill Online just click the green "Pay Your Bill Now" button.  You should have your latest bill handy to register your account.  Be sure to enter all numbers - even leading zeros.

We accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover.  There is a convenience fee of 2.55% + $1.00 to make payments via web or phone.

Payment by Phone

If you know your account number and wish to use a credit or debit card to pay by telephone, the phone number 850-347-5392.  The phone payment system is available in both English and Spanish and is available 24 hours a day, 7 days per week.

If you need assistance in paying a bill by telephone and wish to speak directly with Utility Department staff, please call 850-342-0292 during regular office hours. 

Payment By Mail

If paying by check or money order through the mail, please send all payments with your payment coupon. To avoid late fees, please mail your payment so that it will be received at City Hall before the tenth day of the month.  

Automatic Bank Draft Direct Pay

The worry-free way to pay your bill. With this service, the amount of your monthly bill is automatically deducted from your bank account and credited to your utility account. There is no set-up fee or charge associated with this method of payment. To set up Automated Bank Draft, request an Authorization for Direct Payment of Utility Bill from [email protected] and drop it off or mail it to our office, along with a voided check.

Payment Drop-off Location

You may pay your bill in person at our office address. We accept cash, check, or money orders, debit and credit cards.  There is a fee for use of a debit or credit card. There is a drop box available for check or money order payments after hours.

Payment Through Financial Institution Online Bill Payer

Many financial institutions such as major banks offer their customers the ability to pay their bills via an online bill payment service (through your bank's website). Normally, these services debit the customer's checking or savings account to pay the bill. Depending on the financial institution, they may or may not charge a fee for the service. Please make note that payments may take up to seven business days to post to the customer's account. Please consult your bank for more information.
