Position Opening: City of Monticello Utilities Clerk
The City of Monticello offers a work environment that appreciates you. If you are looking for a position that is positive and helps the community, the Utilities Clerk at City Hall might be the position to make you and us happy and efficient.
The Utilities Clerk:
• Works hand-in-hand with the City Clerk, Accounting Clerk, and Water Department employees.
• Takes Utility Payments
• Runs Reports
• Makes Deposits
• Does other tasks to help City Hall serve the public well.
• Helps the public works crew read meters and take care of other utilities issues
• Is counted on to be helpful, courteous, and willing to work well with the other employees and the public.
• Should be concerned about the welfare of the City’s citizens as well as him/herself.
• Must be reliable
• Should take direction well and also be willing to think and improve and adjust to change as needed.
Required:
• High School diploma or equivalent; college preferred.
• Willingness to work diligently
• A desire to learn and excel in the position
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent organization skills
• Excellent computer skills
